Situated in the heart of Oshawa on Athol Street, the General Motors Centre has two ice pads and has hosted major concerts and special events such as the Tragically Hip, INXS, Bachman & Cummings as well as the Oshawa Generals OHL season. The main pad will seat aprox 5,400 people for hockey and aprox 6,400 for other events. Giffels Design-Build Inc. and NORR Limited were the facility architects responsible for the design and construction, while Global Spectrum manages the facility and event programming. This premier sports and entertainment facility is providing a first-class home for the Oshawa Generals and an ideal atmosphere for fans to cheer sports teams and enjoy world-class concerts and events.

With a total project cost of $45 million, this complex houses the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame, Prospects Bar & Grill, executive suites, special club seating and an Oshawa Generals retail store.
