-
If tickets to an event are not on sale yet, how can re-sell sites such as “StubHub.com” already have tickets for sale at inflated prices?
-
Resale sites often claim to have tickets before the public on sale. You may notice that no section, row or seat numbers are mentioned because their agents have been unable to purchase at that point.
We strongly discourage our fans from purchasing on any third party website, and urge you to buy directly from the General Motors Centre website, call centre number, or in person at the General Motors Centre Box Office or the United Way Information Kiosk at the Oshawa Centre.
Fraudulent tickets presented at an event as the result of a third party purchase will not be honoured, and no compensation will be given.
-
What is the convenience fee? Do I have to pay it if I purchase tickets at the Box Office?
-
Convenience fees are payable on each ticket and cover the operational costs to our ticketing company New Era Tickets.
Convenience fees are ALWAYS applicable on ALL sales via online, by phone or at the United Way Information Kiosk at the Oshawa Centre, but depending upon the promoter, and the set up of the event, may not always apply to Box Office sales.
It is advantageous to purchase your tickets in person at the box office as the fees will ALWAYS be less than other methods of purchasing.
-
Tickets to an event went on sale at 10:00am. I was online at 10:01 and the best available tickets were in the upper level, but 5 hours later I was able to get floor tickets. How does that happen? Can I exchange these for floor tickets?
-
When an event goes on sale, all customers are essentially competing for available inventory; purchasers online, who phone the call centre, and those who line up at the General Motors Centre Box Office or at the Oshawa Centre Kiosk.
Customers purchasing tickets online can keep items in their “shopping cart” and then decide not to purchase them, which would release those tickets for sale. The promoter of the event may also decide to open up additional inventory at any given time.
Ticket refunds and exchanges are not permitted.
-
I bought tickets to an event at your building, but I need an accessible seat. Can I exchange my seat? Can my partner and child sit with me?
-
Please contact the Box Office directly at 905-438-8811 with questions or concerns regarding accessible seating. We will accommodate patrons to the best of our ability, as availability varies from event to event.
For most events, when purchasing in the accessible sections, patrons will be limited to purchasing one Accessible Seat plus one Companion seat.
-
I purchased tickets to an upcoming event but recently found out I won’t be able to attend. Can I receive a refund for my tickets?
-
All sales are final. Ticket refunds and exchanges are not permitted.
-
What age does my child have to be to require a ticket?
-
For most General Motors Centre events, a child under two does not require a ticket as long as s/he sits on an adult’s lap. This may change from event to event, please contact the Box Office at 905-438-8811 with questions.
-
How can I find out if an event is sold out?
-
If you are having difficulty obtaining the required number of tickets or any tickets at all for your desired event, it is most likely that there are no available tickets at the present time. Fans are welcome to call the Box Office at 905-438-8811 to check for availability, but please note the Box Office does not take phone orders.
